| Jeff
has been involved in music from an early age by inheriting his
parents’ love of all types of music, to singing and playing hand bells
in church and youth choirs. Jeff
first picked up a pair of drumsticks at age eleven and later won first
seat in state and regional concert band competitions.
He was actively involved in marching, concert and jazz bands
throughout his schooling and furthered his talent by studying with
renowned percussionist and recording artist Gary Spellissey for many
years. Jeff
not only loves to drum, but he also has a passion for singing and is
excited to be able to do both in 7th Child.
Jeff has been performing professionally since he was a teenager
in various original and cover bands and has recorded several albums. Jeff
is influenced by percussionists: Louis Bellson, Phil Collins, Stewart
Copeland, Nicko McBrain, Ian Paice, Neil Peart, Jeff Porcaro, Buddy Rich
and Steve Smith and
vocalists: Bono, Brandon
Boyd, Chris Cornell, Ian Gillan, Damon Johnson, Ed Kowalczyk and Paul
Rodgers. |
